Was ist Gefriertrocknung?

Gefriertrocknung ist eine der schonendsten Methoden, um Lebensmittel haltbar zu machen. Noch nie davon gehört? Dann pass jetzt gut auf: Durch Sublimation wird den reifen Maiskörnern bei der Gefriertrocknung ihre Feuchtigkeit entzogen – ohne Hitzeeinwirkung. Das Ergebnis: Nährstoffe und der typische Maisgeschmack bleiben erhalten. Zudem entsteht eine knusprige Textur, die bei herkömmlicher Trocknung oft verloren geht.
